Welcome to the Haines City Election Information Center. This information is intended to familiarize City Commission Candidates, Campaign treasurers, and Residents with the duties and responsibilities required under Florida’s Election Laws, and the Haines City Charter.

QUALIFYING DATES

Qualifying documents for City Commissioner will be accepted by the City Clerk in City Hall, 620 E. Main Street, Haines City, Florida 33844, from:

12:00 PM, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2019

to

12:00 PM, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2019

The salary for a City Commissioner is $11,243 per year. The filing fee for a City Commissioner Candidate is $25 plus 1% of the annual salary ($112.43) for a total of $137.43.


POLLING LOCATIONS

Your polling location may have changed for this election. The polling places for the 2019 Municipal Elections are hereby designated as:

Precincts 402, 407 & 408
Oakland Neighborhood Center (Auditorium), 915 Ave E, Haines City, FL 33844

Precincts 306, 405, 409 & 410
Haines City Community Center, 555 Ledwith Avenue, Haines City, FL 33844

The polls will open at the polling places at 7:00 A.M., Eastern Standard Time, and will close at 7:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time, on the specified day of the election.
