Diamond in the Rough is a non-profit women’s empowerment organization that holds sessions and workshops on life skills, parenting, and time management. The founder and facilitator of this program is Tawanta Stanley. Diamond in the Rough provides overall encouragement and fellowship for women from various backgrounds.

The Youth Leadership Team meets monthly. They will participate in community service projects, teen discussions, and awareness activities. Community service hours are available and refreshments will be served

The Florida Department of Health offers free rapid HIV/AIDs testing and screening for sexually transmitted diseases. The health department will use a rapid test that uses a small blood sample from a finger prick and provides results in 15 minutes. All tests are free and results are confidential.

How to use Computers is a free of charge basic computer class. This class is for beginners or those that may want to become more familiar with operating a computer. There are other opportunities to take this class at the Haines City Public Library and it is also offered in Spanish. (Please contact library for dates and times as they vary).
